I have never been a farmer or have never lived on a farm. However, I do have my own vegetable garden and take great pleasure in growing as much as I can, in my yard.
There is something that fascinates me about farm equipment and tractors though. That old machinery pitted with rust or even coated with fresh paint. The bright signature tractor colors like green, yellow, blue, orange, and red. These were the workhorses of the field and of the farm. Capturing these classic, relics brings me back... maybe to a past life... or maybe just to an understanding of machines and what they represent.
So many old tractors from the past... Oliver, Farmall, Cockshutt, Allis Chalmers, John Deere, Ford, Massey Ferguson, Ferguson, Minneapolis Moline, Case, International Harvester... the list goes on and on.
Here are a couple of my recent tractor photographs... just trying to portray what I see in these versatile machines.
