I always have felt the idea of a Jeep embodies much more than just a hunk of metal or a piece of machinery. It helps fill that craving for adventure... the desire to explore on the trails, fire roads, back roads, dirt roads and more.
The ability to disconnect from the day to day life and recharge. Get away from the hustle and bustle and hang out with like-minded people. All the while during that process finding out a bit more about yourself each subsequent time you leave the pavement or each time you park next to another Jeep in a parking lot. It's a strange feeling of extended family and comradery. Anyone that knows about the Jeep Wave will understand this strange phenomenon.
Sure your Jeep doesn't always make it over the obstacle or even finish the trail but most of the time it surprises you. Most of the time you surprise yourself... how the hell did I make it though that. Part of it is luck, part of it is driver skill, and part of it your Jeep did for you. Of course the person spotting you through an obstacle is also crucial to your success.
