I love going to fairs in New England.  Many of them happen during the late summer and autumn just as the seasons are changing and the fall foliage is starting to burst with color.  One of my annual favorites is the Woodstock Fair in Connecticut.  I  thoroughly enjoy looking at all the vintage tractors they have on display.

There is nothing quite like a fair... the candy apples, cotton candy, midway rides, Ferris wheel, and the farm animals.  The sights, the sounds, the smells of a carnival or fair... so unique and transcending.  It's a chance to take it all in and enjoy your surroundings... have a little fun in the process.

The antique tractors always captivate my interest... so much patina and so much color.  The level of detail you can get is amazing while photographing old tractors.

This Massey Harris Mustang tractor was no exception.  This tractor had been beautifully restored and painted.  Great care and detail were taken by its owner to bring this old workhorse back to life.  This antique Mustang tractor was number 200 of 2,680 Massey-Harris Mustangs built in 1953.  I thought the grille looked so awesome through my wider-angle lens.  It looks like a skeleton or a human rib cage that that juts out to protect the inner organs and workings of this classic tractor.
