Sometimes I feel as though we all go through life on automatic pilot. It may only be for short periods... or maybe it is for a long time. Most of the time we are just trying to hold the fort down and maintain. Sometimes it's hard to define or know when we are in that particular situation. Do we ever really see anything or stop to look at something twice even? We live in a fast world and time is limited. Once in a while we should force ourselves to watch the paint dry, so to speak. It's during that moment that your existence really surprises you. It's only then that you see something that was nearly impossible to see at first glance.
Have you ever really looked at a tractor tire? Probably not, who the hell would haha. Sure it has cool knobs and lugs and looks pretty badass. Have you ever gotten close enough to stop and look at the detail, the textures, the patina of a weathered (or new) tire. It is simply amazing... a whole little microcosm of detail and activity. So many stories lay hidden within that cracked rubber tire. Years of hard work and utility on a farm or elsewhere. Who would have thought all that could be on the surface of a simple, common tire?
By the way, if you didn't already know ;) ... I love Jeeps, mud tires, trail riding, and rock crawling. So why wouldn't I gravitate towards tractors and tractor tires. Thanks for reading!
